Mister Speaker, Honourable Members of the House of Assembly, Your Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen, the listening and viewing public, it is with a great sense of gratitude to God that I bid a very pleasant and blessed good morning to all.
Mister Speaker, it is indeed a great pleasure for me to address a message to this august body and the nation for a tenth time in my capacity as President of the Commonwealth of Dominica, on this significant occasion of the Formal Opening of Parliament (the First Meeting of the First Session of the Eleventh Parliament under the Commonwealth of Dominica Constitution). I am delighted to be here and wish first of all to express sincere thanks to you Mr. Speaker, for the invitation extended to my wife and me to the formal start of the 2023/2024 Parliamentary Session. My wife Clara joins me in thanking you most earnestly for your kind and gracious invitation.
