2021 Address by President Savarin on the Occasion of the Observance of International Day of Older Persons

Today, the 1st day of October, is observed as International Day of Older Persons. Eight (8) years ago on the 2nd of October 2013, my 70th Birthday, I was sworn in as the President of Dominica. Throughout my Presidency, therefore, as an older person myself, I have considered it an honour and a privilege to be afforded the opportunity, each year, by the Dominica Council on Ageing to address you on the occasion of the observance of "International Day of Older Persons.
