The Dominica Agricultural Industrial and Development Bank has made a contribution to the President's Charities Foundation (Erika) Relief Fund.
The President's Charities Foundation Erika Relief fund was launched following the devastation caused by Tropical Storm Erika on August 27, 2015 with the intention of raising US $100,000.00 to provide medium term relief and comfort to the families , more particularly school children , who reside in two of the worst affected communities of the West Coast, namely Colihaut and Coulibistrie.
General Manager of AID Bank, Mr. Julius Corbett, presented a cheque of $5,000.00 to the President of Dominica, His Excellency Charles Savarin, as part of the Bank's continued support of the national relief effort in the said communities devastated by Tropical Storm Erika.
Mr. Corbett in making the presentation was pleased to note that the Bank's contribution will assist with the needs of families and more particularly school children who reside in the worst hit west coast communities of Colihaut and Coulibistrie.
His Excellency Charles Savarin thanked Mr. Corbett and the Management and Board of Directors of the AID Bank for their contribution towards the President's Charities Foundation (Erika) Relief Fund.
Local and overseas companies are invited to assist the President's Charities Foundation Erika Relief Fund in reaching its goal of raising US $100,000.00. An account has been opened at the National Bank of Dominica. The account number is 115004096.
The President's Charities Foundation Erika Relief Fund Sub Committee will dialogue with the community leaders in the two communities of Coulibistrie and Colihaut to determine the best approach in assisting the school children.
